Suite 224 Internet Acceptable Use Policy

Suite 224 Internet strives to provide its customers with the best quality service. In order to do that in a fair manner, Suite 224 Internet requires its customers to adhere to the following rules and regulations, as well as to the Suite224 Internet Terms and Conditions. These rules are designed to make the Internet enjoyable and useful for our subscribers.

Cable Modems

In order to maintain DOCSIS certification and to ensure that all customer premise equipment (cable modems) are functioning to the specifications set by Suite 224 Internet, Suite224 Internet reserves the right to upgrade, via software download and without subscriber notification, all cable modems currently connected to its HFC (hybrid fiber coaxial) network.

Non-acceptable uses all services

Non-acceptable uses of all services include but are not limited to:

* Hosting dedicated server services.
* Reselling of Internet access
* E-Mail Server
* Web Servers
* Multi-user interactive forums
* Sending unsolicited bulk or commercial messages
* Restricting or inhibiting any other user's normal use of the services;
* Reselling, sharing or otherwise distributing services or any portion of them to any third party;
* Provide Internet access to others through dial-up connections, hosting shell accounts over the Internet, providing e-mail services, web hosting, news services or news feeds to others;
* Run programs or servers that provide commercial network services to others.

Bandwidth, Data Storage and Other Limitations

Users must comply with the current bandwidth, data storage and other limitations of the services, as each now exists, and as each may be modified in the future. Users must ensure that their activity does not improperly restrict, inhibit, or degrade any other user's use of the services, nor represent (in the sole judgement of Suite224 Internet) an unusually large burden on the network itself. In addition, users must ensure that their activity does not improperly restrict, inhibit, disrupt, degrade or impede Suite224 Internet's ability to deliver and monitor the services, backbone, network nodes, and/or other network services.


Suite 224 Internet strives to make Internet service available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Sometimes situations occur that interfere with this goal. These include, but are not limited to:

Scheduled system maintenance that requires turning off a server or related equipment, loss of power, busy signals, service interruptions due to any of Suite 224 Internet's transit providers, or loss of service due to calamities of nature. Suite 224 Internet and all associated parties will be held harmless for any service interruption.


Suite 224 Internet offers e-mail service to all Suite 224 Internet customers with the following disclaimers:

Suite 224 Internet cannot guarantee the integrity, privacy, or delivery of your e-mail messages once they are sent from any of our mail server(s). Our mail server(s) send and receive e-mail, but Suite 224 Internet cannot guarantee that your e-mail will arrive at its destination. Many problems are caused by incorrect addresses or network problems beyond our control.

Suite 224 Internet has zero tolerance for the use of its network by anyone for the distribution of unsolicited bulk commercial email transmissions (i.e. spamming or dissemination of pornographic or gambling related material).

Failure to comply with these guidelines will subject your account to immediate termination.


Suite 224 Internet's network may only be used for lawful purposes. The transmission of material that is in violation of any federal, state, or local law, or that is prohibited by trademark, trade secret or other intellectual property, is strictly prohibited.

Anyone who publishes materials and information which are accessible through Suite 224 Internet's network is solely responsible for the content of such materials and information and is solely responsible to know and comply with all laws applicable to the publication and distribution of such materials and information. Suite 224 Internet does not accept responsibility for the content of the materials and information published by others which is accessible through the Suite 224 Internet network and does not accept responsibility for the violation of any laws resulting from such publication or distribution.

Suite 224 Internet is an access provider and as such exercises no control over the content of the information passing through its network. It is expected that Suite 224 Internet's customers will comply with whatever rules or Acceptable Use Agreements that are appropriate for those networks accessed through Suite 224 Internet.

Suite 224 Internet is solely responsible for determining if a violation of the Acceptable Use Agreement has occurred. If Suite 224 Internet becomes aware that one of its customers is in violation of this Acceptable Use Agreement, Suite 224 Internet reserves the right to suspend or terminate service without notice. In addition, Suite 224 Internet reserves the right to interpret this Acceptable Use Agreement in its sole discretion and to amend, revise, add, or delete any provision of this Acceptable Use Agreement.

Usenet News

Suite 224 Internet contracts Usenet news services from other providers who specialize in this service. As a result, Suite 224 Internet neither warrants nor guarantees the accuracy or reliability of any information or content derived from with Usenet News, or any other source accessed through Suite 224 Internet.

These include, but are not limited to:

* Ability to connect to the news server.
* Timeliness of articles.
* Accuracy and content of posts.
* Content of Newsgroups.

Postings to Usenet news groups must comply with the written charters or FAQs for those newsgroups. Spamming a newsgroup is expressly forbidden. Failure to comply with these guidelines will result in one warning. If the complaints continue, your account will be subject to immediate termination.

Usenet news often presents divergent views, and it is quite possible that the material may offend you. Suite 224 Internet will be held harmless for access to newsgroups, which you may find personally offensive, inappropriate or unsuitable for minors.

Passwords and Security

Your password is your key to the Internet. Without it, you won't get in the door. As such, you must protect your password from falling into someone else's hands. It is your responsibility to maintain the security of your password.

While connected to the Suite 224 Internet network, Suite 224 Internet customers are prohibited from engaging in any type of activity that will interfere with the service of any host, user, or network. This is commonly called a "Denial of Service Attack". It includes, but is not limited to "flood pinging", deliberately trying to overload a network, attempting to crash someone's computer, or intentionally "hacking" or attempting to "crack" any system's security measures.

Failure to comply with these guidelines will deem your account subject to immediate termination.

Inappropriate Content

There may be content on the Internet or otherwise available through the services that may be offensive to some individuals, or which may not be in compliance with all federal, state and local laws, regulations and other rules. For example, it is possible to obtain access to content, which is pornographic or offensive, particularly for children. Sutie224 Internet will not assume any responsibility for the content contained on the Internet or otherwise available through the services. Users must assume the risk of accessing content through the Service and Suite224 Internet shall not have any liability for any claims, losses, actions, damages, suits or proceedings arising out of or otherwise relating to access to such content. Parents may want to use a program capable of restricting access to sexually explicit material on the Internet. Content questions or complaints should be addressed to the content provider. Users are solely responsible for any information that you publish on the web or other Internet services. You must ensure that the recipient of the content is appropriate. For example, you must take appropriate precautions to prevent minors from receiving inappropriate content. Suite224 Internet reserves the right to refuse to post or to remove any information or materials, in whole or in part, that it, in its sole discretion, deems to be offensive, indecent, or otherwise inappropriate regardless of whether such material or its dissemination is unlawful. Suite224 Internet does not have any obligation to monitor transmissions made on the services. However, Suite224 Internet, does have the right to monitor such transmissions from time to time and to disclose the same in accordance with your subscriber agreement. By using the services to reproduce, publish, display, transmit and distribute content, a user is warranting that the content complies with this Acceptable Use Policy and authorizing Suite224 Internet to reproduce, publish, display, transmit and distribute such content as necessary for Suite224 Internet to deliver the content in a timely manner.
